The Brano R12A door closer is a constant in the Brano a.s. offer. You know it intimately from panel and apartment buildings, hostels, shops and everywhere where access doors need to be opened.

Hydraulic upper door closer
Application: for mounting on the left and right door leaf. Can be mounted in reverse.

Also suitable for outdoor use . – Brano R12A closures are filled with oil with high thermostability. In the temperature range from -20°C to +40°C, the closer is therefore almost maintenance-free and reduces the need to readjust the closure during different seasons. The readjustment itself is a simple operation, solved by simply turning the adjustment screw.

Installation of the Brano R12A shutter
Installing a door closer requires a certain skill and technical knowledge. The shutters can be used in a normal environment.
Choice of shutter size
You can choose the correct size of the closer simply according to the table of weight and width of the door, which you can find above. For external doors or entrance doors exposed to drafts, we recommend using a door closer one size larger.
- Before mounting, make sure that :
– the door fits perfectly to the door frame
– the door moves easily and does not rub
– the hinges and door handle are lubricated
– whether after installation, when opening the door, the closer does not hit the wall or other obstacles - We strongly recommend mounting the door on the inside of the door, ideally so that you don't have to use a support. The supports are not part of the door closer.
- The closer is delivered with the lever removed. Place the lever through the shaped hole on the shaft and tighten it firmly with the help of the enclosed nut. When mounting on the outside, we recommend placing a rain cover over the closer.
- Resetting the closer to the right-hand version – we supply the closer as standard for the left-hand version and the so-called left-hand door. Detailed download instructions can be found under the product details.
- Marking of the fastening holes in the door frame - it is determined by the angle at which you want to open the door. You can find more detailed information in the detailed instructions.
- Pre-drilling the holes
- Screwing on the closer and the foot of the lever
- Adjusting the spring preload
- Regulation of the closing speed and knockdown
When the ambient temperature drops, especially at temperatures below -20°C, solidification of the filling and reduction of the closing speed may occur despite the use of thermostable oil. If necessary, adjust the closing speed using the adjusting screw on the side of the closer.
